Project Connect: Free Food, Fun & Eye Exams

[NEWS RELEASE] The Superstition Community Food Bank (formerly Apache Junction Food Bank) invites the community to join in a one-time special event offered in partnership with the Mesa Sunland Village Lions Club and Other Side Ministries. Project Connect will take place on Saturday, February 8, from 2-4 pm.

The food bank will be distributing free food. The Lions Club will be administering free eye exams. And Reverend chef Jason Taylor will be demonstrating food and recipe ideas for healthy living. Food Bank Executive Director Myra Garcia says, “Our joint goal is to educate the community on services and referrals available for their personal health and well-being, and we’ll be doing it in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.”
