Eloy Council approves Main Street renovations

The Eloy Council recently approved a $148,700.00 renovation for Main Street to begin in early July, 2020. Work will include the patching and painting of building facades, the complete rebuild of the sidewalk arcades including new roof tiles and lighting.

From Eloy’s website:

The City of Eloy is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from experienced Construction/Renovation Estimators to provide a series of estimates of an existing building on Main Street in Downtown Eloy. The Building, known locally as the Dust Bowl Theater is located at 300 North Main Street, was originally built in the 1940’s, and has undergone numerous repairs and remodels. Having closed in the 1980’s, the building has not been used or upgraded since that time. The City of Eloy is weighing its options with regard to the future of the Theater building. It is anticipated that these cost estimates will be part of the decision matrix relating to the final determination of the future of the Dust Bowl Theater (and potentially the adjacent Veterans Center) by the Eloy City Council.

The SOQ can be found on the City of Eloy website: https://eloyaz.gov/bids.aspx or for more information contact Jeffrey Fairman, Project Manager at 520-464-3178 or jfairman@eloyaz.gov.
