Gusse believes passionate approach gets results on city council

After winning back her seat in 2016, Julia Gusse is seeking reelection.

The Air Force veteran and mother-of-three is the only woman of color currently on the council, and hopes to continue her work in supporting the diverse Maricopa community.

Gusse has served two terms on the city council already — her first from 2010 to 2014 and her current term. She also made a bid for Maricopa Justice of the Peace, but was unsuccessful. In her last run for city council, she clinched the win with a record-breaking number of votes.
