Eloy forming a youth council

Teenagers in Eloy will have an additional activity to participate in as the City Council is looking to form an Eloy Youth Council.

City staff conducted a survey of communities in Arizona that have established a youth council. It was determined that youth council members are involved in numerous city projects and programs, such as assisting with the development of programs for youth in the community, providing input on recreational activities and representing the city at state and regional conferences.

“They would assist with various programs and activities that the city sponsors such as Christmas in the Park and the Easter Harvest Festival,” City Manager Harvey Krauss told the council Monday.
