Florence welcomes new Community Services director

The town has a new community services director, Hezekiah Allen, who comes to Florence after 14 years in parks and recreation in Cottonwood.
“Florence is a vibrant and flourishing community, and I’m very excited to get to know the community and the great team within the Community Services Department and town organization,” Allen said in a town news release. “I’m eager to continue to provide great community facilities and programs, and to poise our team for the future as the Town Council and the town manager have laid out.”
He began work in Florence on June 22, replacing John Nixon, who was interim director until his retirement on June 19.
