After long vacancy, new Walgreens hopes to service east side of Maricopa

After sitting vacant for over a decade, the Walgreens inside the Shops at the Wells development opened its doors to residents and customers June 26.
The new store located along Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway offers a variety of products and includes a creative department, wine and beer, beauty and a pharmacy capable of administering vaccinations.
Though the original structure was built in 2008, the recession slowed Walgreens outfitting the location until this year.
