Arizona Water discusses Casa Grande plans, rate hike

Arizona Water Company on Monday gave the Casa Grande City Council an update on its list of future repair projects in the older part of town.

The water company is looking at $30 million worth of projects to replace and repair its aging water infrastructure in some areas. The 40 projects will cover part of the area from Cottonwood Lane to the water tank south of Interstate 8 and from Henness Road to North Schultz Street.

Approximately 43% of the water lines in that area were installed between 1920 and 1969, said Mark Kieren, Arizona Water Company’s general manager for its Pinal Valley area.
