Boeing to get power from Eloy solar project

[NEWS RELEASE] U.S. aerospace giant Boeing will get 25% of its electricity for its complex in Mesa, Arizona, from a new 100-megawatt solar project, Kallanish Energy reports.

Boeing has signed a power purchase agreement for 15 years with the Salt River Project utility which is developing the planned solar project in Eloy, Arizona.

“It makes sense to take advantage of renewable solar energy at a location that enjoys 295 days of sunshine per year,” said Beth Schryer, Boeing vice president of facilities and asset management, in a statement.
