Eloy council looking for solutions to code compliance violations

Last month the Eloy City Council asked for a presentation noting the accomplishments of the code compliance division and how the city can enhance different properties going forward.
Tuesday Community Development Director Jon Vlaming and Building Safety and Code Compliance Manager Steve Burger gave an overview where the division currently stands and what lies ahead.
“A community never embraces the fact that they have deteriorating properties and buildings,” Vlaming said. “It happens over time and it’s happened here over a long period of time. We’ve been working diligently, but it is a very pervasive issue in the community and we’re still toiling with that particular task.”
