LD11 Democrats address pandemic, reopening

Only two out of the six candidates running for seats in Arizona’s Legislative District 11 attended the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Committee YouTube debate Wednesday evening.

Democrats JoAnna Mendoza of Red Rock, who is running for the district’s Senate seat, and Dr. Felipe Perez of Oro Valley, who is running for one of the district’s seats in the Arizona House of Representatives, were the only two candidates to attend the debate. None of the Republican candidates for the district’s House or Senate seats attended.

The Republican candidates for the House are incumbents Mark Finchem and Bret Roberts and write-in challenger Wade Murphy. Incumbent Vince Leach, a Republican, is also running for another term as District 11’s senator.
