Maricopa council approves McDavid Estates

On Monday night, the Maricopa City Council voted unanimously to approve the rezoning and General Plan amendment for the McDavid Estates community, located at the NEC of McDavid Rd. and Hogenes Blvd. The approval was for a residential master planned community with a density of 4.27 du/ac and 3.1 acres of Mixed Use. The lot sizes range from 4,600 Sq. Ft. to 5,175 Sq. Ft. and the amenity package is outstanding.
The property was previously zoned as Industrial in 2004. As Jordan Rose (zoning attorney for the property owner) indicated in her remarks to the City Council, “it is not an overstatement to say that things have changed in this area since 2004.”
