Residents of Mission Royale have formed a fundraising committee in hopes to raise $800,000 to keep the community’s golf course viable.
The six-person committee was formed in the second week of September after residents noticed the course was falling into despair. According to committee member Jay Moelis, they have already raised about $500,000.
Moelis is hoping that they reach their goal of $800,000 by Oct. 31.
