The Pinal County Board of Supervisors Approve New Development Impact Fees

Development Impact Fees are pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues 11-1102, and are adopted for the purpose of promoting health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Pinal County by implementing Pinal County Capital Improvement plans. It requires new development to pay the proportionate share of the capital costs to Pinal County associated with providing parks facilities, public safety, and streets necessary to serve new development by paying developing fees related to those facilities.

Development Impact Fees are assessed and collected at the time of Building Permit Issuance.

Every five years, the county will review the development fees that are in effect in Pinal County. The new impact fees were adopted by the Board of Supervisor on September 30, 2020. The following chart below provides the comparison of the newly adopted fees by SFFA, the Street Facility Fee Area. The new impact fees will be lower than the existing adopted fees from May 9, 2016. The fee schedule provides a breakdown of fees going towards parks, public safety, and streets.

Lower impact fees promote economic growth by providing savings for homeowners and commercial developers.
