Az City Fire continues to receive grant money

A majority of the Arizona City Fire District board needs to go through required class training by the Arizona Fire District Association.

Reelected board members Randy Wittenburg, Dewayne Hill and Dean Craun as well as newly elected member Randy Johnson are hoping to get the training out of the way but due to COIVD-19, that is highly in question.

“You’ll see those classes scheduled,” Arizona City Fire District Chief Jeff Heaton said. “The January conference in Laughlin has been canceled and it does appear that we will have a Glendale conference but I wouldn’t count on that for sure at this time. With the additional cases of the last two weeks, I can see in the foreseeable future that we’re probably not going to have that conference either. It wouldn’t surprise me if these classes get canceled as well, there’s some up north and in the Tucson area and the Phoenix area as well.”
