Spend local beyond Small Business Saturday

The town of Florence is stepping in to help small businesses in the area with the Town Council issuing a proclamation calling on Florence residents to shop locally.
The move was part of national “Small Business Saturday” on Nov. 28. Nestled between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is the day to support local small businesses that boost the economy and invigorate neighborhoods across the country.
But Florence Mayor Tara Walter is encouraging people in the town to do more than acknowledge Small Business Saturday. She is urging “residents of our community to support small businesses and merchants on Small Business Saturday and throughout the year.”
