Casa Grande action plans to integrate water and land use planning

The city is one of seven communities in Arizona that will begin action plans to integrate water and land use planning with the Growing Water Smart program.

According to a press release, the Babbitt Center for Land and Water Policy at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy has been awarded a grant by the Richard H. Whitney Fund for the Common Good for the Growing Water Smart program.

The inaugural Growing Water Smart program training includes other communities: Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye, Florence, Gilbert and Surprise.
