Casa Grande Council may consider local contractor rather than low bidder for road project

The City Council met on Monday to discuss the construction of Peart Road, but decided to table the item for a later meeting date.

The project would provide construction services for the widening of Peart Road to five lanes between O’Neil Drive and Cottonwood Lane.

According to the agenda, the mayor and City Council were expected to authorize a contract with Visus Engineering Construction of Mesa with a total based bid amount of $1,005,000 plus a contingency of $118,000.
