Coolidge council approves purchase of new public works building

Frustrated with the current condition of the city’s Public Works Department, the Coolidge City Council had been planning earlier this year to allocate funds to construct a new facility.
But last Monday, the council approved an alternative solution to purchase an existing structure from Felix Construction Company for $1.5 million, at a site members believe will be a vast improvement.
City Manger Rick Miller described the 2.39-acre site as “strategically located” and “very attractive” for public works and possibly other functions as well.
