State transportation officials plan to hold a virtual public comment hearing Wednesday on the study being conducted to widen Interstate 10 between Chandler and Casa Grande.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking comments on the proposals for what is dubbed the I-10 Wild Horse Pass Corridor Study, in the area of the freeway between the Loop 202 interchange in Chandler and the State Route 387 (Pinal Avenue) interchange near Casa Grande. Currently the stretch of freeway running across the Gila River Indian Community is two lanes in each direction, while the rest of I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson is three or more lanes.

“Your input is important to the study team and the alternatives selection process, so we invite you to participate,” ADOT said in a statement announcing the meeting.
