Unauthorized activities on Casa Grande Mountain are raising safety concerns

Casa Grande Mountain welcomes hikers, cyclists and even equestrians but unauthorized activities on the mountain are causing damage to the landscape and are raising safety concerns.
According to city Community Services Director Steve Hardesty, the mountain is seeing damage from people using off-road vehicles, doing unauthorized shooting and having parties on the mountain.
“It’s ruining a lot of the natural habitat,” Hardesty said.
