Braden Biggs, Kelly Gremmel and Tess Nesser took their oaths of office Jan. 5 as new four-year members of the Apache Junction City Council, and Chip Wilson was sworn in as mayor for a two-year term.
“The oaths of office are a time-honored tradition. It is a requirement of elected officials and those in public service to perform the job with sound morals, ethics and respect to the office for which they hold, and to the best of their ability,” City Clerk Jennifer Pena said.
The four who were sworn in — plus Christa Rizzi, who attended by phone and was shown on a computer screen; Robert Schroeder; and Gail Evans — make up the municipality’s council.
