CG plan is to cut household water use 15% by 2030

On Monday the City Council voted to approve the consideration of the 2030 General Plan which residents will be able to vote on in May 2021. 

As the city continues to grow, one of the main goals of the 2030 General Plan is to identify the amount of water needed to support the growing population and determine whether there are adequate water resources to support the projected growth. 

“Our goal really is a 15% reduction in household water use,” Mayor Craig McFarland said. “That’s a big goal and I think that would save us a lot of water.”
