Legislation promotes growth in Pinal through existing water safeguards

State Rep. David Cook, R-Globe, has introduced a bill that will help promote growth in Pinal County with existing water safeguards.
He said the bill will allow older existing planned developments, sometimes called “zombie subdivisions,” to be updated and modified to meet current building needs and to remain compliant with existing water planning safeguards.
“We need to continue moving Pinal County forward in a responsible way for growth while balancing our water availability for the future,” Cook said in a press release. “I am pleased with the proposed solutions that are being brought forth from the bi-partisan ad-hoc committee I chaired in the fall of 2019.
