CAC happy with university partnerships despite new bill

Central Arizona College is happy the way things are when it comes to offering four-year degrees.
A new bipartisan bill that passed the Arizona House of Representatives would allow for community colleges to offer four-year baccalaureate degree programs going forward. The bill, HB2523, passed 57-3 and was described by state Rep. Becky Nutt, R-Clifton, as helping to make certain programs are more affordable and accessible.
“A strong community relies on its people and their ability to be successful,” she said. “Education is vital to ensuring that people have the tools to meaningfully engage the workforce and give back to the communities in which they live.”
