CGESD to repurpose Evergreen Elementary, rename building after Snider

The Casa Grande Elementary School District will continue with plans to repurpose Evergreen Elementary School as a base for remote learning after the board voted to do so Tuesday evening.

The staff presented information about a proposal to repurpose Evergreen Elementary School as the CGESD Center for Online and Innovative Learning. However, the special programs and preschool students will stay enrolled at the school.

In January, Superintendent JoEtta Gonzales sent a letter notifying families and staff of the possible repurposing in the future.
