Pinal County district boundaries to be redrawn

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors is moving forward on plans to redraw the districts each represents.

On Wednesday, Tami Ryall, Pinal County grants administrator, and Steve Frazier, Pinal County chief information officer, discussed redrawing the county’s supervisor districts based on new U.S. Census data. The Census Bureau will release population data in April.

To preserve the “one person, one vote” requirement of the U.S. Constitution, any jurisdiction that elects public officials must readjust its boundary lines after every federal census to re-equalize the population.
