Queen Creek breaks ground on new fire station
Replaces Interim Fire Station 2

Queen Creek has broken ground on a permanent fire station on Sossaman Road.
The permanent Fire Station 2 will replace interim Fire Station 2 at 24787 S. Sossaman Road. The permanent fire station will offer a number of amenities, including an additional bay to store equipment, dedicated space for law enforcement and state-of-the-art bifold doors.
It also will include safety features for Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department personnel. For example, the flooring is a sealed, ground concrete that reduces exposure to biohazards. Also, the firefighters’ protective equipment, or turnouts, will be stored in an isolated room and an additional area for decontamination. The separation will reduce any contamination from the turnouts to other materials and reduce exposure to exhaust.
