Florence council complains to EPCOR of odors, potential rate increase

EPCOR spokesmen said customer satisfaction is markedly higher since their company took over operation of the former Johnson Utilities, but Town Council members complained of continuing odors and an upcoming rate increase.

The average water and wastewater customer would see a monthly increase of $13 if the rate case is approved toward the end of the year.

Councilman John Anderson told EPCOR representatives Monday that “it doesn’t seem right” that customers in Florence Anthem must pay to help fix sewer problems in Magic Ranch and San Tan Valley. “Can we have separate rates for Anthem?”
