Pinal Reentry Project aims to help released inmates be successful

Mike Walker of Casa Grande understands first-hand how difficult it can be for prisoners to reintegrate back into the community when they’re released from jail.

He made the transition himself several years ago.

“I was lucky,” he said. “I was blessed with support. When I was released, there were people who were there for me. But there are a lot of people who never get a single letter or a visit from anyone while they’re in prison. They’re on their own when they get out.”
