CAC budget shows decrease in tax levy

The Central Arizona College budget for the 2019 fiscal year includes a 2.5 percent decrease in the primary property tax levy.
The tax rate is set by the county Board of Supervisors based on assessed valuation.
While the total operating fund increased 1.1 percent, the total resources available over the budget year decreased 38 percent, as did other funds. This was due to CAC not putting so many funds into construction in the coming fiscal year, due to the completion of the Science and Student Union buildings.
