Smithsonian’s ‘Water/Ways’ headed for Florence

Whether it’s for fun and recreation, work, commerce, travel or even basic survival, it usually won’t get far, or even happen at all, without water.

Water/Ways,” a Smithsonian on Main Street exhibition, will be coming to Florence for the last six weeks of 2018. To personalize it for Florence, local residents are invited to submit their own true water-related stories until Aug. 1 at Florence Community Library.

While the national exhibit is on display at McFarland State Park, the Pinal County Historical Society Museum will display items related to our local water story. The library will host a series of speakers.
