Johnson Utilities violations sent to attorney general

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality appears to be taking a harder line with Johnson Utilities.
ADEQ has referred the company to the state attorney general because it has failed to comply with what is required regarding seven notices of violation and one non-compliance order in which the utility was fined $10,000, all in 2018.
“Because there is continued non-compliance, ADEQ is escalating the Johnson Utilities enforcement by referring the violations to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office as a civil case,” wrote ADEQ spokeswoman Erin Jordan in an email to PinalCentral.
