Interim manager vows to make Johnson Utilities more than ‘third world’ utility

EPCOR representatives met with state lawmakers and a small group of Johnson Utilities customers who have worked to get state agencies to take action on Johnson Utilities, promising transparency and assuring residents that the company appointed as the interim manager of the utility is capable of bringing service up to acceptable levels.
“Why are we here? We want to help,” said Shawn Bradford, vice president of corporate services at EPCOR.
He touted EPCOR’s records of minimal sewage spills, about one per year, and lack of violations with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
