EPCOR suspends management agreement until Johnson Utilities complies

The Arizona Corporation Commission is exhausting all legal avenues to force Johnson Utilities to comply with its orders to provide access to EPCOR as the interim manager.

Due to non-compliance by Johnson Utilities, EPCOR has suspended the interim manager agreement that had been planned to go into effect Wednesday.

“We’ve stayed the official start until the commission gets compliance, whether it’s voluntary or involuntary, from Johnson Utilities,” Shawn Bradford, vice president of corporate services at EPCOR, told PinalCentral. “No one could be the interim manager. You can’t manage a utility without … access to the facilities, access to the employees, access to the financial systems, the billing systems, all of those things.”
