HLI-Pinal prepares to train another crop of community leaders

What started as a way to address issues in the Latino community has evolved into a leadership training program with graduates serving on boards, commissions and councils throughout the area.
The Latino Familia Initiative will begin its 13th Hispanic Leadership Institute-Pinal training program on Wednesday, Sept. 19, to train a new batch of future leaders.
Lisa Fitzgibbons, a Casa Grande City Council member and graduate of the program, who also helped create the class, said HLI-Pinal classes are for anyone who wants to learn more and make a difference in the community.
