Public asked to give input on Guard site compatibility

Public input is sought on planning for compatibility with National Guard locations in Pinal County.
Two workshops have been scheduled to give residents an opportunity to learn about the Pinal County Joint Land Use Study.
The meetings seek to “mitigate current and potential conflicts between the four AZNG sites of Florence Military Reservation, Rittenhouse Training Site, Silverbell Army Heliport and Picacho Peak Stagefield and the surrounding communities,” Pinal County said in a press release. The land use study will discuss the existing and potential conflicts between the National Guard sites and the communities in which they’re located.
