Atchue and Leach will be in LD11 square-off

A political showdown between two Arizona transplants will take place in Legislative District 11.
Ralph Atchue, D-Eloy, won the nomination for the LD11 state Senate seat Tuesday night. Atchue, who retired to Arizona more than a decade ago, said Wednesday he plans to win the election the old-fashioned way: by knocking on doors and meeting voters.
“I think voters are excited to know there’s a candidate that’s focused on common sense, family issues,” Atchue said.
