From empty shelves to cases of canned goods, packages of gravy, boxes of stuffing mix and freezers full of food, the Open Hands Outreach Program Food Pantry is now ready for the holidays thanks in large part to a very generous donation.
Wednesday morning, members of the Arizona Pipe Trades Local 469, the Torres Consulting & Law Group, and Arizona Rep. TJ Shope (R-Coolidge) unloaded a truck carrying $10,000 worth of food at the OHOP Food Pantry to help restock the shelves.
Earlier this month the pantry was burglarized when an unknown suspect or suspects kicked in the door of the masonic temple where the pantry is currently housed and stole approximately $3,000 worth of food and supplies.
