City officials have decided to appeal the decision of a federal agency over whether to allow skydiving at Casa Grande Municipal Airport.
At a special meeting Thursday night, City Council members unanimously approved authorizing the city manager and city attorney to file an appeal of a Federal Aviation Administration decision that says the city must allow an operator of a skydiving company to create a parachute drop zone on airport property.
City Attorney Brett Wallace didn’t say publicly what he believed the city’s chances were regarding the appeal.
