A winery received preliminary approval to open a tasting room and hold events from a county board Thursday.
The Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission voted to approve a zone change for a portion of a winery to accommodate a tasting room, store and small restaurant that primarily will serve appetizers.
The Golder Ranch Estates near Oracle is a 9-acre parcel, of which about 5 acres are a small vineyard. An existing barn and existing ranch home sit in the property.
