Superior invites all to take a ‘leap’ into its mining heritage

In a town that is all about celebrating what makes it different than all the rest, one event sticks out as particularly specific.
This weekend is the latest installment of the Apache Leap Mining Festival in Superior. For the 31st year, the mining culture that the town was built on will be in focus, but presented in a fun, interactive way for the newer generations that have never set foot near a mine.
Of course, there will be plenty of learning opportunities in the festivities Friday through Sunday as attendees will have a chance to explore the history of mining in the area, from the primitive early days to the modern, technologically rich operations.
