Pinal County Manager Greg Stanley has indicated to the Board of Supervisors that he intends to retire this fall.
Stanley, county manager since 2014, has yet to submit a letter, but has said he plans to retire in October, Pinal County spokesman Joe Pyritz said.
“For me, it’s sad to see Greg Stanley leave. He’s been a good, good county manager, and he will be hard to replace,” Supervisor Pete Rios, D-Dudleyville, commented. “… I call him ‘Coach,’ because he’s basically the guy who sends in the plays,” and he usually provides good advice to the board, Rios said.
