Consultant says new system could cut travel time on CG’s Florence Blvd. by 25%

City leaders heard a presentation Monday on a plan that if implemented could improve travel time on Florence Boulevard by 25 percent.
The presentation to the Casa Grande City Council was from Clark Transportation Solutions of Scottsdale, a company that specializes in projects designed to improve traffic flow. The plan calls for upgrading intersection technology while remotely monitoring and controlling the signals.
“The existing infrastructure is a little outdated, and what we want to do is upgrade the equipment,” Ronald Amaya of Clark Transportation Solutions told the council.
