Supervisors begin process to find new county manager

Pinal County has begun the search for a new manager.

The Board of Supervisors on Wednesday agreed to begin looking for a new county manager within existing county government, using its Human Resources Department and a consultant.

County Manager Greg Stanley told the supervisors he wants to retire in early October, although “I’m flexible on the date.” He noted it typically takes the county four months to hire a new manager, although it has also taken as long as six or seven months.
