McSally aide talks about senator’s focus on infrastructure and drought

An aide to Arizona Sen. Martha McSally appeared at an Eloy luncheon Thursday to update local leaders about his boss’ work on drought and infrastructure issues.

Last month, the Republican lawmaker was part of a group of senators that included her Democratic counterpart, Kyrsten Sinema, along with other senators from states that border the Colorado River to introduce the Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan Authorization Act.

In an April 2 press release, McSally said the plan is a landmark grassroots effort that seeks to continue providing drinking water to 40 million Americans, irrigation for 5.5 million acres of farmland and more than 4,000 megawatts of carbon-free hydropower to communities across the West.
