Report: Ruins brings over $5 million in tourism revenue in 2018

The Casa Grande Ruins National Monument helped to generate over $5 million for the regional economy over the course of 2018, a report shows.

The report, part of a national visitor spending analysis released by the National Park Service, shows that in 2018 approximately 62,995 visitors visited the national monument. In total, those visitors spent $3,720,000 in communities surrounding the park.

In addition, the NPS estimates the spending helped support 54 jobs in the region, bringing the cumulative benefit to nearby Pinal County cities up to $5,533,000.
