Coolidge council ponders maintaining same property tax levy

The city of Coolidge will likely maintain its $1.87 tax rate for the coming fiscal year.
The tax rate was examined at a special meeting of the Coolidge City Council Monday evening. Council held a public hearing on the proposed tax levy limit, which would raise an estimated $944,800.
Two options were presented to the council by City Finance Director Gabe Garcia. The first option would maintain the current tax rate, approximately $1.87 per $100 of assessed value.
