Coolidge council approves $6 million increase to tentative budget

With a $9.5 million airport grant included, the city of Coolidge’s tentative budget saw a slight increase compared to the previous year.

The tentative budget for fiscal year 2020 was unanimously approved at the June 10 City Council meeting. The expenditure limit for the upcoming fiscal year was set for more than $46 million — a $6 million bump compared to fiscal 2019.

The adoption of the tentative budget sets a limit on what the city can spend each year. The council will officially adopt the final version of the budget at the June 24 meeting.
