Nikola Motor Company gets $1.7 million grant from U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded Nikola Motor Company a $1.7 million grant to further its research into fuel cell technologies.
Wednesday morning the company announced it was one of several organizations that received funding from the DOE.
Other recipients of award, funded through the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, include General Motors, Volvo Technology of America and Pennsylvania State University, among others.
