New residential-commercial zoning district OK’d for 3.5 acres at Ocotillo Road, 205th Place

The Town of Queen Creek has received a number of requests relating to commercial operations including office, restaurant, co-working and other general commercial services for potential small business owners in this area.

Eleven properties on 3.5 acres at the southwest corner of Ocotillo Road and 205th Place should have a new combined residential and commercial zoning designation, the Queen Creek Planning and Zoning Commission has decided.

Town-staff initiated text amendments for Ocotillo 11, a planned area development, creating a new residential commercial zoning district and rezoning the properties was approved by the commission at a recent meeting.

“This residential-commercial district is one that we are creating with this effort, so that’s the reason behind the text amendments,” Senior Planner Kyle Barichello said to the commission.
